Cheerleading programs (in general) have moved away from primarily being a group of performers at games (encouraging the crowd to support an athletic team), toward a competitive model that trains and develops athletes to participate in the "competition circuit". The formation of the Raiderette program brings us back to the “roots” of cheerleading and puts the game day fun and excitement front and center. Our program will include learning sideline cheers to encourage the football players, as well as engaging the crowd in supporting the team. The team will learn various cheer motions, jumps, short dance/pom routines, and halftime routines.  

Understanding the model: A model of inclusion:

Fairly and evenly dividing teams allowing EVERYONE to participate.

Providing a stress free environment that teaches and develops fundamentals, placing positive reinforcement first. Participating on the sidelines weekly with a youth football program.

A program built on a sense of accomplishment, excitement, enthusiasm, positive rewards, and of course...fun.

Removing the need to compete against others to determine the overall success of the organization.

Reducing the amount of in season practices to lessen the burden on families during the school year.

A reduced price point for participation.

A later start date. 

Practice dates are Tuesday and Thursday for the season 6-7PM prek/k

6-7:30PM 1st-6th grade

-additional practice dates will be Monday August 19th and Monday August 26th
